Rebranding Features Ramped Up Interactive Website: mnretail.org Your Voice Our Strength
The statewide voice of retail known as the Minnesota Retailers Association is rolling out branding changes that include a new Website, logo, tag line and color scheme. The 56-year-old trade association is making the move to reflect its ever increasing role as spokesperson and representative of the rapidly changing retail community.
"Retailers go out of their way every day to adapt to the changing demands of consumers," said Association President Buzz Anderson. "Our new colors represent a more contemporary, earth friendly look that mirrors the efforts of today's retailer who is reaching out to a customer that has different expectations in today's dynamic marketplace."
The statewide retail association also believes that the rebranding changes provide a better reflection of the mission of the Minnesota Retailers Association, which is to provide retailers with a competitive edge as they reach out to consumers.
"To succeed in retailing today, merchants need a competitive edge as they respond to customer demands. For example, retailers recognize that there is a growing demand to provide the public with environmentally friendly products as consumers seek more ways to contribute to sustainability. Having that edge on the competition becomes even more important as customers today shop with more sophistication for price, choice, purchasing options and convenience," said Hillary Feder of Hillary's Personalized Gifts, Chair of the association's Membership Committee.
Anderson also pointed to the fact that the new logo and colors represent a more distinctive brand, as the Minnesota Retailers Association is the only organization to speak exclusively on behalf of the retail industry. The new brand identity will also position the Association for future growth while leveraging the existing brand equity.
The Association provides numerous benefits to its members. The lobbying team represents retailers at the state Capitol, insuring that a competitive environment exists for the retail industry. This team addresses issues such as rising health care costs, increasing property taxes, expansion of sales taxes, growing employee related costs and overregulation.
The Minnesota Retailers Association will also use its new website to provide members with quick access to the RetailPlus+ Buying Group where they can find discounted products and services including low cost bankcard processing, shipping services and other related costs of doing business. The Association also assists its Members in being more involved in the political process by encouraging retailers to reach out to their own elected officials though the voterVOICE tool, also to be found on the new website in the near future.
Other features that will be available on the new Minnesota Retailers Association website include: a Members Only section that will allow retailers to connect with each other more easily, industry news and an event calendar.
